To streamline the adoption process, instructors are encouraged to consolidate the datasets for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC.xlsx in the Case) and credit card fraud (Credit Card Fraud.xlsx in the Case) into separate tabs within an Excel file.
Appendix A lists a compilation of short videos (Videos.zip in the Case) that provide instructions to both instructors and students on how to use Microsoft Excel to complete the case. These videos demonstrate the required analytics procedures using a truncated dataset. Consequently, students can use these videos to accomplish the assigned tasks without being exposed to the case answers. These videos cater to students who are not familiar with Excel, enabling self-paced learning. Proficient Excel users have the option to either disregard the videos entirely or view them on an on-demand basis to reinforce or learn particular skills.
