Instructors can implement this case either as a comprehensive assessment of audit learning at the conclusion of the semester or as an in-class or out-of-class assignment throughout the semester. When implementing the case in class throughout the semester, students took between 10 and 30 minutes of class time across multiple class periods (depending on the number of related case requirements) for a total time of approximately 180 minutes. It is important to note that class discussion pertaining to the case was often lively, with students performing additional research as to the current status of the ongoing case, and thus, there was considerable variation in the time spent per class based on the direction of the class discussion. As an individual, out-of-class assignment, students reported spending 120–180 minutes completing the assignment.
